The ability to observe and not try to change others...

 For the last many days it has been frightfully cold here in Colorado.   I was at the gas station filling up - the gas was moving slow.  I stood wondering if I should just get $10 worth and leave, but I managed to be patient. A woman station attendant was shoveling bits of ice here and there.  I noticed she did not have gloves on.  I felt bad that she was out there without gloves and as I left I rolled my window down to see if she would like some gloves ( I have an extra pair under my seat)  She said, "No I have some, just not wearing them."

Then I saw a quote on FB, A prediction for this week of Dec 8-14 from Almine of www.spiritual journeys.com 

"Experiment with new perspectives.  See again the magic of your environmnet as you did when you were a child, the ability to observe, without trying to change others, is vital this week.  How you respond, and what  you choose to allow into your environment is your choice.  The way others choose to live, is theirs.  To try to fix or save them makes you abandon your own reality."

I do have alot of experience with fixing and saving, oh yes!  It is like a knee jerk reaction, and progress happens.

My thought is whether I was trying to fix that woman or extend a caring gesture.  Do we ignore a homeless person, or say hello, and give a few dollars.?  I sense there is sympathy, empathy or compassion, and compassion is the most evolved space to come from.   I will notice what comes up this week in my world,
