I find that the kinder and gentler I am to myself, verses self bashing, the more I am able to be neutral to my lessons. Or maybe neutral comes first?? Having grown up in an environment that did not have the concepts of forgiveness, compassion, or amusement, I have learned to cultivate these and other concepts. Perhaps it is not what we are learning on our unique path as how we cherish ourselves in the process.
I am learning about boundaries. Where mine end and another persons begin. I had a good learning experience yesterday. I was talking with a person and they were sharing about something that was annoying and even fearful for them, which they were going share with another person they thought may have some experience with. I noticed my reaction was - oh don't get that person worried, I'll help you by looking at the energy and giving you ways to deal with it. (It can be ok to do this if a person asks but she didn't) I though was aware on some level I was watching this interaction, and knew it may be "off" somehow. So I noted it and went on with my day. Today I found a quote that talked about just what I was experiencing about trespassing on others space. " Live and let Live " " our only concern should be our own conduct, our own improvement, our own lives. We are entitled to our own view of things, and we have no right to inflict it on anyone else." Oops, that hits the nail on the head, it points to a subtle desire to control, one of the areas I am learning to shift.... progress. It makes me think more about motivation behind communication. Owning that. ++++++++++++ What are you noticing these days? I would love to hear.
