Below all the constant noise, do you take time to listen?
When my family and I were preparing to move to Colorado, we lived in Minneapolis - we would go down to the Mississippi River and climb the hills, saying we are practicing for the mountains ahead (ho ho ho) and sing Climb every Mountain, ford every stream, follow every byway til you find your dream, a dream that will take all the love that you have..... I then gave birth to a new phase of my life, so unfamiliar yet expansive. It was so out of the box,to be present to what was. Some one mentioned continuity of consciousness, that was where I was going. I could see beyond the walls to the background of creation - nothingness -. I thought I was a ship without a rutter, but that was not true. Once while watching a movie with the kids - it was the Flintstones - I heard - Wake up wake up, the world is going to hell in a handbasket, don't just zone out in front to the tube. wake up! I said "Kids did you hear that? I think that was a subliminal message on the Flintstones movie " - "Oh Mah ahm, we don;t know what you are talking about! ya ba da ba do! What to hold onto when everything seems to be going.? The mountains are families, very very old, They know about enduring. Nature with all her unfathomable wisdom to share, and wrap our bodies in, to assure our bodies as we descend deeper into all that we truly are - love. As the song goes - a dream that will take all the love that you have - What is love expressing like for you today? I hope to hear from you soon.
